1. Guest Lecture on Control Systems
We recently had the privilege of hosting a guest lecture on Control Systems, an essential topic in engineering that deals with the behavior of dynamic systems. The lecture was delivered by Prof. Vijayalaxmi Kumbhar, a renowned expert in the field, who provided deep insights into modern control theory, feedback systems, and their applications in various industries.
The session was highly interactive, with students engaging in discussions about the real-world applications of control systems, from robotics to aerospace engineering. The event was an eye-opener, reinforcing the importance of control systems in advancing technology.
2. Guest Lecture Session on IEEE SIGHT
The IEEE Special Interest Group on Humanitarian Technology (SIGHT) focuses on leveraging technology to solve pressing global challenges. Our recent guest lecture on IEEE SIGHT, delivered by Prof. Vijayalaxmi Kumbhar, highlighted the role of engineers in humanitarian efforts.
Dr. Davis shared inspiring case studies where IEEE SIGHT initiatives have made a tangible impact, such as providing solar-powered water purification systems in remote areas. The lecture emphasized the importance of socially responsible engineering and encouraged students to contribute their skills to humanitarian causes.
3. Hands-On Session on Microwind
Continuing our tradition of practical learning, the IEEE chapter recently organized a hands-on session on Microwind, a tool used for designing and simulating CMOS circuits. The session was organized by Prof. Vijayalaxmi Kumbhar, who guided students through the process of creating and testing basic integrated circuits using Microwind.
Participants were able to design their own circuits, simulate their behavior, and analyze the results. This experience not only deepened their understanding of semiconductor design but also sparked an interest in pursuing careers in VLSI and chip design.
4. Advanced Guest Lecture on Control Systems
Building on the foundational knowledge from our previous lecture, we hosted an advanced session on Control Systems, focusing on the latest advancements in the field. Prof. Vijayalaxmi Kumbhar, discussed cutting-edge techniques in adaptive control, robust control, and their applications in autonomous vehicles and aerospace.
The lecture provided students with a comprehensive understanding of how modern control systems are designed and implemented in high-tech industries. The insights gained from this session are invaluable for those aspiring to work in fields where precision and reliability are paramount.
